HP Recommended

I have an HP Offucejet 6968. I keep getting an error message telling me there is a paper jam, to clear it and to remove and reinsert the paper tray. I've done this multiple times and found no paper jam. The computer goes through a self-maintenance routine, then again gives me the same message.

 

HP Chat told me to remove and reinsert the ink cartridges, but they will not line up for removal, nor can I manually move the carriage to remove them.

 

What can I do?
