Hi @shlokkdevare ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 4729 series printer is not printing due to paper jams, here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  • Turn off the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to avoid any electrical shock or damage.
  • Clear paper jams: Open the printer's access door and carefully remove any jammed paper. Make sure to pull it out gently to avoid tearing it. Check all areas where paper feeds into the printer, including the input tray, output tray, and the rear access door if applicable.
  • Check for small pieces of paper: Sometimes, small pieces of torn paper can remain inside the printer. Carefully remove any such debris to prevent future jams.
  • Reset the printer: After clearing the jam, close all doors and trays securely. Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on. This will allow the printer to reset itself.
  • Test print: Once the printer has reset, try printing a test page to check if the issue has been resolved.
  • Inspect paper quality: Ensure that the paper you are using is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged, as this can also cause jams.
