Issues:

Users seeing print quality issues which include vertical lines appearing, mostly when documents contain shaded areas.

Some reports print with no issues while others have lines appear on them.

When attempting to perform a cleaning cycle, the paper gets jammed during the last 2 inches of the feed, requiring manual removal

Steps taken to improve print quality:

-Updated firmware to most recent 20201021

- Verified default paper size is "Letter" and type is "Plain"

-Verified paper and ink are both HP brand approved items

-Economode has been removed to print best quality

Stats:

-Total Impressions: 18824

-Environment: This printer has been operating in a +55F environment for over a year (Minimum operating is +59F)

-Only HP recommended ink has been used during its life span, recent issues started a little over a month ago and different cartridges have been used with same results

-Device is out of warranty as of a month ago

Ghosting is often the result of a fuser not reaching proper temperature to fully bond the toner and toner get picked up the the fuser rollers and redeposited on the page. I would try setting the fuser to a hotter setting.

Hello,

With this model I was unable to find a specific setting for adjusting fuser temp.

I do see the manual suggests adjusting the Edge-to-Edge settings for some fuser related issues so I've set this to maximum but no change was noticed compared to the normal setting.
