HP Recommended

I have a HP M521 that keeps telling me to load paper in tray 2.  The tray is full.  I have been using tray 1 for time being.  Here lately I have noticed that tray 1 will try and feed paper even though the tray is empty.  Can any one help figure this out.

Make sure that the tray settings on the printer itself are set correctly for letter plain. For the tray 1 trying to feed, there is a black finger that the paper presses when it is loaded and I have seen cases where it sticks down and always thinks that paper is loaded.
