Hi, I have a fake paper jam in the automatic document feeder..
At the beginning of the scan, the motor makes 2-3 turns and stops with an error message. No jams, no paper inside. Disassembled and reassembled twice. The gears are intact, spinning by hand, there are no extra sounds.
It sees the paper in the feeder, but does not even try to take it.
I turned it off for a minute from the outlet, it did not help.

You need to replace the Paper Pick Roller and the Separator Pad.
Then you will no longer have a fake jam.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

No, I don't need to change them. Firstly, there is no wear and tear on them and the automatic feeder has not been used much. Second, I cleaned them. Thirdly, it does not even try to turn them, the error appears a second after the engine is turned on. If the scanner is open and there is no motor contact with the hexagon of the automatic feeder, it acts in the same way, makes a turn and stops with the same error.

You need professional help on site.
I think the ADF (incl. motor) must be completely replaced.
Or maybe they are using the wrong paper? Information about this here.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
