HP ENVY 5640 e-All-in-One Printer

For several months my HP Envy 5640 printer has shown paper jam messages without any jammed paper. I have followed the recommended solutions and they have worked until now. But in the last couple of days I haven't been able to clear the error message. Any suggestions before I cancel my HP Instant ink contract and throw out the printer.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting a paper jam error, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
