My HP color laserjet Pro MFP M281fdw keeps dying and wont switch back on. I have to unplug the mains lead, wait 5 minutes and then plug back in and it works for a bit then does the same.

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
