My printer jams every single time I print. I clear the jam and the same thing happens all over again. Does this mean the printer is dead? Can this problem be fixed affordably?

You are jumping to a final conclusion before conducting some basic troubleshooting. Where does it jam? Is the paper crinkled when it jams or does the printer simply stop without damaging the paper. Does this happen during any printing or only when duplexing. We find in the shop that most jams are either due to something blocking the paper path such as a bit of paper or a component that is not seated, or simply from worn rollers. Where it jams will tell alot about where the problem might lie. Does it have the same problem if you feed from the manual feed tray?
