Hi @geauvert,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e is displaying a Paper Jam error, despite there being no visible jammed paper. This kind of issue can be caused by a false paper sensor trigger or small paper fragments hidden in the printer's path. Let's walk you through the steps to clear the error and get you printing again.

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Sometimes this clears false sensor readings.

2. Check All Paper Paths

Open and inspect the following areas carefully for any torn bits or debris:

  • Rear access door or duplexer (if equipped)
  • Input tray
  • Output tray
  • Print carriage area (open the front cover and check where the ink cartridges move)

🧤 Tip: Use a flashlight to help see small bits of paper or dust inside the rollers.

3. Check for Loose Paper Sensors

  • Look for small levers or rollers inside the paper path.
  • Gently move them to ensure they aren’t stuck or misaligned.

4. Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

Dust or worn rollers can cause false jams.

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Clean the paper feed rollers (accessible from the rear and front where the paper enters).

5. Reset the Printer

  • Disconnect the power cord while the printer is on.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the cord and turn the printer back on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
