Example: HP M252N
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was printing documents, one of the sheets got stuck as it was coming out. I pulled the paper and it came off entirely. Since then it has been reporting paper jam. I have tried resetting the system to default factory functions, adjusted the trays, adjusted the paper size in the Set up Menu with no success. I feel the printer memory as recorded this message and keeps displaying the same error even over and over again.

@Muando

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting a paper jam error, I am glad to assist you.

Reset the printer

Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). Reset the printer, which might clear a false paper jam error, and then print a test page.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

  5. NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
