HP Smart Tank 580 All-in-One Printer

My printer is printing half page in a paper and another half page in other paper. Can someone help me? It also happens when my friend using his macbook pro tryna print with my printer.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 580 All-In-One Printer might be having issues with the alignment or paper handling. 

 

Here are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the problem:

Check Printer Settings:

  • Make sure that the paper size and type settings in the printer software match the paper you’re using.

Align the Printheads:

  • Printhead alignment can often resolve issues with incomplete prints. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu or the HP Smart app.

Check for Paper Jams or Misfeeds:

  • Look for any obstructions or jams in the paper path. Also, ensure that the paper is properly loaded in the tray.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure that your printer firmware and drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on HP’s website.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Try resetting the printer to its factory settings. This can sometimes clear up any settings or software issues causing the problem.

Test Different Applications:

  • Try printing from different applications or files to see if the issue is specific to one type of print job.
