There might be a small paper in my HP4155 document feeder, I can scan from the scanner glass but the paper in the document feeder is not being detected. How do I check for any small paper jams?

Hi @01Elena,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To check for and clear any small paper jams in the document feeder of your HP4155 printer, follow these steps. It's important to do this gently to avoid damaging your printer.
Turn Off the Printer: Before you begin, it's a good safety practice to turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to prevent any potential injury or damage.
Open the Document Feeder Tray: Locate the document feeder tray and gently open it. This is usually found at the top of the printer.
Visual Inspection: Look inside the document feeder for any visible pieces of paper or debris. Sometimes, even a small piece of paper or debris can cause a jam.
Remove Any Obstructions: If you see any paper or debris, gently remove it. You may need to use your fingers to grasp the paper. If the paper is torn, make sure you remove all the pieces. Using a flashlight can help you spot hard-to-see paper or debris.
Check the Rollers and Wheels: Look for the rollers and wheels inside the document feeder. Gently rotate them to check if there's any stuck paper or debris around them. Be careful not to force them too hard as they are designed to move in one direction.
Close the Document Feeder Tray: Once you have removed any obstructions, close the document feeder tray gently.
Plug In and Turn On the Printer: Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on.
Perform a Test Scan: Try scanning a document using the document feeder to see if the issue has been resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
