@BarrancoC, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Reattaching the Paper Tray Lid on HP Officejet 8020e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To reattach the paper tray lid onto your HP Officejet 8020e after removing it, follow the steps below carefully:

Align the Lid: Position the paper tray lid above the paper tray so that it aligns correctly with the tray’s edges and connectors.

Slide the Lid: Gently slide the lid onto the tray, ensuring that the hooks or tabs on the lid fit into the corresponding slots on the tray. Avoid applying excessive force as this may damage the lid or tray.

Check for Secure Fit: Once the lid is positioned correctly, press down lightly to ensure that it snaps into place securely. The lid should not be loose or wobbly.

Reinstall the Tray: With the lid securely attached, slide the paper tray back into the printer. Make sure it is inserted completely so the printer recognizes the tray properly.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
