Office Jet 9020 Will Not Print on Photo Paper - Jams every time

Loaded HP photo paper properly, cued up a print, printer draws the paper and sounds like it's printing, then it says there's a paper jam.  Open top, pull out the blue handle, one piece of photo paper is in there, stuck in the rollers, nothing has been printed on it.  Cannot get this thing to print.  Normal paper prints fine.  Color, B/W doesn't matter.  Just can't get Tray 2 to print photo.

I understand you are not able to print on photo paper and it gets jammed. 

• What type and size of photo paper are you using?
• Which app are you using to print?
• Make sure it is compatible with this printer. You may refer to the paper-handling section of the printer specifications page.

For now, reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Also, check if the photo papers are loaded correctly in the input tray. You may refer to - Loading Paper, Envelopes, Cards

Check the print settings and the preview on the app you are using to print before printing.

Hp photo paper. Already do all that. Way ahead of you. I would like to speak with a human being to figure this out. This is my 10th HP printer over the years and tech support has gone totally downhill. Next time I am going to try another brand.

I'm sorry to know that. If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
