New printer. My feeder tray has me confused. I load standard size and whenever I print multiple blanks anywhere between 1 and 5 pages. Any help would be welcomed by this senior

Hi@kdmladder18,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Document Feeder issues with the HP Officejet Printer.

Please perform the hard reset and check.

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed

Please clean the pickup roller and check.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your computer.

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Automatic document feeder does not pick paper or feeds too many sheets

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
