paper hits an impediment on the upper right side as it feeds into the diffuser rollers.  Once it is blocked the paper crimps and jams.  There is something down near the bottom of the printer that is catching the paper as it feeds.  But I would have to take the printer completely apart to find the culprit.  I have fed some cover stock through the path and it does feed past this blockage, but when i attempt to feed with the rollers it crimps.  I love this printer for its flat bed scanning and printing, and it is of a vintage that is virtually indestructible so I don't want to replace it this late in my career.  I would like to get a schematic of the pieces in place in the print patch to identify the part that is blocking.  It looks like there is a white plastic lever that might be the problem maker, but I don't know the functionality of that piece.  A repair manual would probably help.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
This seems like a hardware issue with the printer. However, the printer has reached the end of support life, the repair is not an option.
I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit HP Store to check the available printers.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
