Hi @Frank19380731,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Officejet Pro 7720. When a paper jam occurs during the copying process, it can sometimes lead to unexpected results such as missing copies. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check the output tray: Ensure that the copies are not stuck in the output tray or accidentally pushed out of sight. Look carefully for any paper or copies that might have been ejected during the paper jam.
- Inspect the scanner area: Open the scanner lid and check if any pages are still present in the scanning area. Sometimes, pages can get stuck or misaligned during a paper jam.
- Restart the printer: Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. This can help reset the printer and clear any temporary issues.
- Check the print queue: If you are copying from a computer, check the print queue to see if the copies are still in the queue waiting to be printed. If they are, try canceling the print job and reattempting the copying process.
- Reset the printer to default settings: Consult the printer's user manual to find instructions on how to perform a factory reset. This will restore the printer to its default settings and may resolve any software-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
