HP Officejet pro 9010Example: Pavilion 6530
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Won’t print due to not recognizing paper in tray.  This happened when I first purchased it less than two years ago.  I tried the hard reset and it worked until now.  Printer is not used a lot.  Got one page to print, now I get the out of paper error again. Hard reset does not worked.  Just replaced the ink cartridges for the first time and those worked for the one page it printed.

Tray is filled with new paper that is all the same.  Everything is clean.  Printer does not work.  Short of tossing it and not purchasing an HP ever again, is there a way to fix this problem for a still like new printer.

Hi @ARKTY,

 I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing an "Out of paper" error.

To assist better-

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

3) What are the size, type, and weight of the paper you are using?

While you respond to that, try the steps in the document --An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
