Hi @K3ZKO,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-In-One Printer indicates that it needs paper even though paper is loaded, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.
Check Paper Tray:
- Ensure the paper is correctly loaded in the paper tray.
- Verify that the paper is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged.
- Make sure the paper width guides are snug against the edges of the paper.
Paper Size and Type Settings:
- Make sure the paper size and type settings in the printer's settings menu match the paper loaded in the tray.
Clean the Paper Feed Rollers:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Open the paper tray and locate the paper feed rollers.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the rollers.
- Allow the rollers to dry completely before reconnecting the printer and turning it on.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer’s settings menu.
Reconfigure the Printer:
- Remove the paper from the tray and reload it.
- Ensure the paper is loaded properly and the tray is not overfilled.
- Reinsert the paper tray fully into the printer.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer and check for any obstructions or small pieces of paper that may be causing the issue.
- Clear any jams or debris you find.
Align the Printer:
- From the printer's control panel, navigate to the settings or maintenance menu and run an alignment.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
