Hi @MSWEAR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've already tried the basic troubleshooting steps suggested by HP and you're still encountering a paper jam issue with error code 02 on your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2606dn printer, here are some additional steps you can take to resolve the problem.
Check for Jammed Paper:
- Open all doors and trays to inspect for any jammed paper. Make sure to check the input tray, output tray, and the toner cartridge area.
- Carefully remove any paper that you find. Make sure there are no torn pieces left inside.
Inspect Paper Path:
- Inspect the entire paper path for any obstructions. Look for small pieces of paper that may be stuck in the rollers or any other parts of the printer.
Ensure Proper Paper Loading:
- Make sure you are loading the correct type and size of paper in the input tray. Check that the paper guides are properly adjusted to the size of the paper.
Check Sensors:
- Inspect the sensors in the paper path. Ensure that they are clean and not obstructed. Dust or debris on sensors can sometimes cause paper jam errors.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary errors.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve known issues.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Sometimes, a hard reset can help. Turn off the printer, disconnect all cables, and remove the toner cartridge. Leave the printer disconnected for at least 10 minutes. Reconnect everything and try again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
