  • Check Paper Tray: Make sure the paper stack in the tray is not stuck together or misaligned. Remove the paper stack, fan the edges to separate the sheets, and then align them properly before reloading into the tray.
  • Paper Type and Condition: Ensure that the paper you're using meets the printer's specifications (type and weight). Low-quality or damp paper can cause feeding issues.
  • Paper Guides: Adjust the paper guides in the tray to fit snugly against the paper stack. Improper alignment can lead to feeding problems.
  • Printer Rollers: Clean the pickup roller and separation pad. Dust, paper fiber, or debris on these components can prevent proper paper pickup. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean them.
  • Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then, reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. This can sometimes clear temporary errors causing the issue.
  • Check for Jammed Paper: Even if you don't see paper jams, inspect the entire paper path for any small pieces of paper that may be causing the problem.
