HI @Kendra803 ,

Thank you for your response,

If you've already checked for paper jams and cleaned the rollers but the paper jam error persists on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer, there are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Reset the Printer: Turn off your printer, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer, and wait for about a minute. Then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Check for Small Paper Pieces: Sometimes small pieces of paper or debris can get stuck in the printer's rollers or other parts. Use a flashlight to carefully examine the inside of the printer, especially the paper path, to ensure there are no small pieces of paper or debris obstructing the mechanism.
  • Check Paper Tray and Feeder: Make sure the paper tray is loaded correctly and that the paper guides are adjusted properly to fit the size of the paper you are using. Also, check the paper feeder for any obstructions or foreign objects.
  • Inspect Paper Path Sensors: There might be sensors along the paper path that detect the movement of paper. Check to see if any of these sensors are blocked or stuck.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes updating the printer's firmware can resolve various issues, including false paper jam errors. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP support website and downloading the latest firmware for your printer model.
