I keep getting “Paper Jam in Tray 2” error immediately after printer initialise after start up. I have checked the fuser area, rollers, pathway, but there is no presence of paper or anything. I think its just giving fake message.

What I mentioned instead that paper tray itself fits strange inside, how can I check other possible issues?

Manual feeder doesn’t work as printer refuse to do any printing job until error is fixed.

The printer is M277dw

An error that shows when powered on would indicate that a sensor is likely jammed in the open position or has failed completely. If the tray is not fitting in properly, check the pickup rollers in the tray closely to ensure they are seated properly and that there is no foreign material jammed there.

I managed to solve the issue.

One of the flags that is responsible for paper sensor had a spring that was misplaced hence flag cannot return to its “open” position, and was sitting “closed” - printer was thinking there is a jam inside.

After, I kept getting “Load paper” issue, which was solved as well by disassembling paper pick up assembly completely and putting everything back together.

One of the gears (by the left side where the power lead is, the one on the rear door) hasn’t been in tact with another gear (the one on the bottom left side behind white plastic cover) hence it couldn’t lift up paper.

Hope that helps for somebody having the same issues
