After repair of a broken paper feed gearwheel holder the paper stops 15mm too soon (or: the printing starts 15mm too erly). So the Top Margin is always 15mm less than in the printersetting. Does anyone have a procedure how to adjust this? Thank you for your help!

Hi @LewTC,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your printer.
To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:
-Make a copy on the printer standalone and let me know if you have the same issue. (Place an original document on the scanner glass and make a copy to confirm hardware failure)
- Share one of the printed page which has the issue to isolate it.
If the copy is working fine. Click on this link to check the print settings for your printer.
Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hello Irwin6! thank you for offering your help to me. Just a few minutes ago I found what went wrong during my repair:
For my repair I had to remove the 'gearbox' (the plate with several gears) and upon assembly the smallest gearwheel dropped from the plate and I did not notice that. So I reassembled it with one gearwheel missing. I think it is the gear for reverse paper transport. Attached a photo.
In addition to my posted question: there is no adjustment procedure for paper feed. One of the rollers has an encoder so that the printer can control the paper position. In additon to this there is a 'top of paper' detection done with an optical fork switch (accessible from the bottom of the printer).
Thank you once again for your help!

Glad to hear that you found the wheel was missing.
This issue might require one-on-one interaction to fix it if you still continue to have an issue with your printer.
