Hello

HP office jet Pro 6968

All in one

screen message:

” There is a problem with the printer or printer system. Turn the printer Off, then On. If you continue to get this message. Contact HP.

0x6100004a “

I cleared the paper jam, and the issue is still with the above message, including pull out the wire from the out.  Turning off and on, checking paper jam but not see any more paper.

Could someone help me to clear this?

 I’m greatLy appreciate your time.

 Thanks so much

Hi, Thanks for Providing enough Information that i need to guide you, The HP printer error code 0x6100004a indicates a hardware failure that causes the cartridge to become stuck.

Here are some things you can try:
  • Clean the ink cartridge contacts and vents
  • Reinstall the ink cartridges one by one
  • Check for leaks in the ink cartridges
  • Reset the printer
  • Check the carriage for a printhead latch
  • Reseat the printhead up to three times
  • Replace the printhead
  • Service the printer

HP also recommends these steps:
  1. Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet
  2. Turn the printer on
  3. Reinsert the ink cartridges
  4. Close the ink cartridge access door
  5. Update the printer firmare.
