Hi,

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - CM749A.

When I turn on the printer I get an 'Improper Shutdown' message. If I click OK to that message I get a 'Paper Jam' message. I have been through looking for paper jams, cleaning the rollers and resetting the printer buy turning pulling out the plug while the printer is turned on. There is by sure no paper pieces in the printer, I had never any real paper jam.

In other thread, there is  mentioned an advanced reset procedure which he sent via private message.  Can I do the same to resolve the issue? Can someone send me reset protocol

I have the same problem with my office jet pro 6968. I  have cleared all path and still gets jammed paper message.  The feeding cycle is not right and then it repeats it again and again.  How do I fix that?

I have the same message problem with a paper jam error message but yet I’ve tried all the same remedies

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Paper Jam Errorbut the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
