Hi @Chelle64B,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Tango X is displaying a paper jam error but isn't pulling the paper,
here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check for Jammed Paper: Even if you don't see paper visibly stuck, there might be small pieces or shreds inside the printer. Open all the access panels and carefully check for any paper fragments.
- Remove and Reinsert Paper Tray: Take out the paper tray, ensure there is no paper in it, and then reinsert it properly. Make sure the paper is aligned correctly and not too thick.
- Inspect the Paper Path: Look at the paper path where paper feeds into the printer. Sometimes, paper can get stuck in hard-to-see areas. Use a flashlight to get a better view.
- Clean the Rollers: Dust and debris on the rollers can prevent proper paper feeding. Gently clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Let the rollers dry completely before testing again.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no foreign objects or debris in the paper feed area that could be causing a blockage.
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Update Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve issues. Check the HP website for any available updates for the Tango X. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Consult the Manual: Refer to the printer’s user manual for specific instructions related to paper jams.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
