I have a paper jam in my printer, I have tried to troubleshoot the printer with what HP virtual services suggested. And it still says "paper jam inside printer". no paper is causing the paper jam, there was no paper, no ripped papers inside the printer, etc. Anything could help me out a lot, please.

Hi @JM0802
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is showing a "paper jam" message even though there’s no visible obstruction, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Turn Off and Unplug the Printer
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
2. Check All Areas for Paper
- Inspect All Paths: Open all access doors and trays. Sometimes small bits of paper or foreign objects can be lodged in places you might not immediately see.
- Check the Input Tray: Ensure there’s no paper left in the input tray that could be causing the jam error.
3. Remove the Paper Rollers
- Clean the Rollers: Dust and debris can cause the rollers to misfeed. Gently clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Rotate the rollers manually to clean all surfaces.
4. Check the Printhead and Cartridges
- Remove and Reinstall: If applicable, remove the printhead and cartridges. Inspect the area for any obstructions or debris. Reinstall them carefully.
5. Run a Printer Self-Test
- Many printers have a self-test or maintenance mode that can help diagnose issues. Check your printer’s manual for instructions on how to run this test.
6. Reset the Printer
- If you have not done so already, perform a hard reset of your printer:
- Turn it off and unplug it.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
7. Check for Software Issues
- Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause communication issues. You can check for updates on the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
