HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer

Printer keeps showing a paper jam message but there is no paper or debri in there. I cleaned the rollers and did a reset but removing the cartridges, unplugging the power cord from the back of the printer then restarting. Message keeps popping up.

It sounds like your HP ENVY is still showing a paper jam error despite you already cleaning the rollers and performing a reset. Paper jams can be tricky to resolve if no visible obstruction is present. Here are some additional steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

 

Double-Check the Entire Paper Path

Even if there’s no visible paper jam, there may still be small bits of paper or debris stuck somewhere in the paper path. Carefully inspect all the areas where paper moves through. you can refer this post: Solved: Re: Out of Paper error - HP Support Community - 9294900

 

Check the Paper Feed Rollers Again

Even after cleaning, sometimes the rollers can become sticky or worn out. Check for any residue (such as ink or dust) on the rollers that might cause the paper to feed incorrectly.

 

Check the Paper Tray for Misalignment

Make sure the paper tray is correctly inserted and aligned in the printer. Sometimes, if the tray is not seated properly, it can cause a paper jam error.

Inspect the Paper Sensor

There might be a problem with the paper sensors inside the printer. These sensors detect whether paper is jammed or present in the path. You can try cleaning these sensors (small optical sensors) with a lint-free cloth. Gently wipe the sensor areas, often found near the rollers.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
