Paper jam

I get a paper jam notice when I want to print on my HP Envy 7155 printer but there is no paper jam. In order to print I need to power down and restart then it prints. Please advise

• Even though you don't see a visible paper jam, there could be small bits of paper or debris stuck in the printer's paper path. Gently open the printer's cover and remove any paper you can see, then check for any small bits stuck in the rollers or near the sensor.

Clean the paper path and rollers:

• Over time, dust and ink residue can cause the rollers to misread the paper. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the rollers. Make sure to dry the area thoroughly afterward.

Check the paper tray alignment:

• Ensure that the paper is correctly aligned in the tray and that the paper guides are not too tight against the paper, as this could cause issues with paper feeding.

Reset the printer:

• Try performing a hard reset:
  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • This can help clear any temporary errors or software glitches.

Update or reinstall printer drivers:

• Outdated or corrupt printer drivers can sometimes cause errors like this. Try updating or reinstalling the drivers for your HP ENVY Photo 7155 from the HP website.

Check for firmware updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

• Sometimes, firmware updates from HP can fix these types of errors. Check if there are any available updates for your printer model through the HP Smart app or the printer's settings menu.

Paper Type:

• Ensure you are using the correct type of paper that is compatible with your printer. Some paper types can cause feeding issues.
