Solved: Paper tray of color laserjet does not go in - HP Support Community

Just the simple added paper to the paper tray. Now I can't get the tray back in. It stops about a 1/4" from being inserted. Tried fiddling with the various blue paper size tabs, nothing works. I don't see anything in the back that keeps it from going in.

You have accidently set the paper tray in legal mode. There is a lever on the right front of the tray you need to push that level and shrink the tray back.

A paper feed issue can occur for several reasons, such as dusty or contaminated paper rollers, the condition of the paper in the tray, or even issues with the software. To resolve the issue, try each solution in this document, and then use the steps in this section to print a self-test report
