Product: HP Inkjet 5055

My printer is a couple months old and I started getting an error message that the paper tray is open.  I have taken the tray out, assessed for obstructions; inspected the tray and supporting structures.  I have re-started the printer, disconnected and reconnected the power source.  Time for a new printer?  I'm at a loss...

Can you take a photo of your tray from above and post here?

The plastic tab that interlocks switch in printer gets broken/damaged and the printer reports that tray is missing.
