Hi @JerseyJudy,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3755 All-In-One Printer is not feeding paper properly, preventing you from copying or scanning, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Check Paper Alignment:
- Ensure that the paper you're trying to use is aligned properly in the input tray. Make sure it's not too tight or too loose, and the edges are aligned.
Paper Type and Condition:
- Make sure you are using the correct type and size of paper that is supported by your printer. Check the printer's manual or the HP website for the recommended paper specifications.
- Ensure the paper is not torn, curled, wrinkled, or damaged in any way.
Load Paper Correctly:
- Remove all the paper from the input tray.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.
- Place a small stack of paper (usually no more than 25 sheets) in the tray, ensuring it's not overloaded.
- Make sure the paper is pushed all the way in until it stops.
Check for Obstructions:
- Inspect the paper path for any obstructions, such as small pieces of paper, dust, or debris that may be blocking the paper feed rollers.
Clean Paper Feed Rollers:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer cover to access the paper feed rollers.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the rollers. Ensure they are dry before reassembling the printer.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP website and search for your printer model to find and install any available firmware updates.
Check for Error Messages:
- If your printer displays any error messages or lights, consult the printer manual or the HP website to troubleshoot and resolve the specific error.
Test with Different Paper:
- If the problem persists, try using a different type or brand of paper to see if it makes a difference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
