HP OfficeJet Pro 7730 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

Hope someone can help me please

I have a HP7730 Printer and all was well until a few months ago when for some unknown reason the A3 paper keeps jamming whilst the A4 works fine.  I have tried all the recommendations from cleaning the rollers at the back, been throughout the printer removing jammed paper, I have since stopped printing A3 as it is expensive wasting the paper, however I am now needing to print my family tree and need  the A3 paper.  Unfortunately I am out of warranty now.

Any useful suggestions on sorting this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi @philmaskell,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Perform the steps below. If you have already done it, then it could be a hardware issue.

This indicates that paper might be jammed inside the printer.

NOTE:

Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The following steps apply to both real and false paper jams.

Step 1: Look for jammed paper

Paper jams can occur in multiple areas of the printer. If you cannot find the paper jam in one area, continue to the next area until the jam is located.

NOTE:

If the message indicates that the document feeder is jammed, clear jammed paper from the automatic document feeder (ADF) first.

You need a flashlight to complete some of these steps.

Thanks for the reply, have previously gone through all of the suggestions removing paper jams, cleaning the rollers, resetting the printer only to get the paper jamming again, do not understand it as A4 goes through no problem

Thanks for trying to help
