Hi, recently my HP Deskjet 4178 printer started displaying paper mismatch error (E1) and I am unable to print anything. Turns out my printer detects my A4 paper to be A5 (medium format) wrongly. I have seen a similar post for the same series before but, I am out of warranty so, cannot contact customer support directly. Can anyone help me fix this sensor issue? Thanks

Hi there! It appears that you're facing an E1 error, which can be quite frustrating. This error usually occurs when you select a particular paper size for the tray, but then end up putting a different paper size in it. To resolve this issue, you can try taking out the paper and re-inserting it, which should allow you to select the correct paper tray size from the screen.
If the problem persists, I recommend reaching out to HP Support for further assistance. They have a team of experts who can guide you through the troubleshooting process and help you resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Don't hesitate to seek help if you need it – they here to assist you every step of the way.
