Hi @Jatinjk,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is making a sound but not taking paper in for printing, there could be several reasons why this is happening. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check the paper tray: Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that it is not jammed. Check to see if the paper guides are properly adjusted to the size of the paper you are using.
- Check for paper jams: Look inside the printer to see if there are any paper jams. If there are, carefully remove the jammed paper and try printing again.
- Check the printer settings: Make sure that the paper size and type selected in the printer settings match the paper you have loaded in the tray. Incorrect settings can cause the printer to not take in the paper.
- Check the printer rollers: Over time, the rollers that feed the paper into the printer can become dirty or worn. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth or replace them if necessary.
- Restart the printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can solve the issue. Turn off the printer, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
