Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that the paper is crooked while printing, I am glad to assist you.

Follow these steps to fix the issue.

Clean the paper feed rollers manually

Use a long cotton swab to clean the rollers inside the printer.

  1. Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord and any other cables.

       WARNING:

You must disconnect the power cord before reaching inside the printer to avoid risk of injuries or electric shock.

  2. Raise the input tray, and then lift and hold the input tray shield.

       CAUTION:

Do not remove the input tray shield. The input tray shield prevents foreign debris from falling into the paper path and causing paper jams.

  3. Look into the open input tray, and then find the gray paper pick rollers.

  4. Dampen a long cotton swab with distilled water, and then squeeze out any excess water.

  5. Press the swab against the rollers, and then rotate them upward with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove dust or dirt buildup.

  6. Allow the rollers to dry for 10 minutes.

  7. Reconnect the power cord and any other cables to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer.

Perform a power reset, reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.
