Hi @Josnuel,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Officejet Pro 6978 All-In-One Printer is displaying an error message even after being turned off and on again, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try/
- Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams. Remove any stuck paper carefully.
- Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. Sometimes, an error can occur if the ink cartridges are low or improperly seated.
- Restart Printer: Completely power off the printer by unplugging it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Reset Printer: Some printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Try resetting the printer to its factory defaults.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve errors.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no obstructions inside the printer that could be causing the error.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
