Hi @Les191873,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code OX6100004a on HP printers is often associated with a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.
Reset the printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for paper jams:
- Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
- Open the printer access door and carefully remove any stuck paper.
Inspect the ink cartridges:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed.
- Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are securely in place.
Restart your computer and printer:
- Sometimes, issues can be resolved by restarting both the computer and the printer.
Update firmware:
- Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Visit the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model.
Check for loose or damaged parts:
- Inspect the printer for any loose or damaged parts, particularly around the carriage and paper feed areas.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
