HI @TMAX75,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Envy Photo 7155 is displaying a "Printer Jam" error despite no visible jam, it can be frustrating. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Troubleshooting Steps:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check All Access Areas:
- Open the front cover and check for any paper fragments or debris.
- Remove the paper tray and inspect the tray and the rollers for any pieces of paper.
- Open the rear access door or duplexer (if your printer has one) and check for any obstructions.
Clean the Rollers:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the rollers inside the printer. Rotate the rollers to clean the entire surface.
- Allow the rollers to dry completely before plugging the printer back in.
Reset the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the power source and reconnect it to the printer.
- Turn the printer on.
Check for Paper Path Obstructions:
- Ensure there are no small pieces of paper or other objects obstructing the paper path. Use a flashlight to inspect hard-to-see areas.
Verify Paper Settings:
- Make sure you are using the correct paper size and type settings in the printer driver and the printer's control panel.
- Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray, and the guides are not too tight or too loose.
Update Firmware:
- Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve issues like false paper jam errors.
- You can update the firmware through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
