The printer will try to print but then eventually gets jammed. Then it completely stops working, screen turns blue with what looks like a power button symbol on it and code B8CE0D9C appears

Hi @SRMORGAN,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-In-One Printer is experiencing a hardware issue, likely related to the paper feed mechanism. Here are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.
- Clear any paper jams: Turn off the printer and carefully remove any jammed paper from the printer. Make sure to check all access areas, including the input and output trays, as well as the rear access door if applicable.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the paper path for any obstructions such as torn paper, debris, or foreign objects. Use a flashlight if necessary to get a clear view inside the printer.
- Reset the printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can address known issues and improve performance.
- Clean the paper feed rollers: Dust and debris on the paper feed rollers can cause paper jams. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to access and clean the rollers.
- Inspect for damaged parts: If the problem persists, there may be a damaged component within the printer's paper feed mechanism.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
