HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer

All the lights are lit up and will not print.  The paper tray light, the "i" light, and the double-sided light.

I understand when all the lights on your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer are lit up and won't print, it usually indicates an error or problem that needs addressing. 

 

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

 

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the paper tray and look for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Remove any jammed paper gently.
  • Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink.
  • If any cartridges are low or empty, replace them.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect it to the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the updated drivers on your computer.
  • Alternatively, you can uninstall the printer drivers from your computer and then reinstall them.

Check Printer Status and Connectivity:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to your computer or network correctly.
  • If using Wi-Fi, make sure the printer is connected to the correct network and the signal is strong.
  • If using a USB connection, try a different USB port on your computer.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Press and hold the Power button and the Cancel button at the same time for about 10 seconds.
  • Release the buttons and see if the lights stop flashing and the printer resumes normal operation.
