If Your Printer is Taking Too Long to Turn Off:
Ensure Proper Power Supply:
- Confirm that the printer's power cord is connected firmly to a functioning power outlet.
- Avoid using extension cords or surge protectors that might cause power issues.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the power source.
- Turn the printer back on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure the printer has the latest firmware updates. Update the firmware using HP Smart app or the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
If Your Printer is Not Printing:
Basic Troubleshooting:
- Make sure there is paper in the input tray.
- Check for any error messages on the printer display or through the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to resolve them.
Check Connection:
- For USB connection: Disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable.
- For wireless connection: Make sure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network properly. Re-establish the connection if necessary.
