This message board is a problem in and of itself. It doesn't list my macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and it doesn't find my printer which is a HP OfficeJet 8010 series [C50013] ie: an 8015. My problem is, I think, I signed up for the ink resupply program with printer paper. I got my paper and installed it in place of the paper I had from my previous HP printer (6978). With this HP paper the printer jams or spits out multiple sheets It does this repeatedly while occassionally printing out what I want without problems. I'm thinking of going back to the paper I got from Staples and see if that works any better. Any other suggestions?

Hi @Rich-Nadeau1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Paper jams and multiple blank sheets can be frustrating, especially when they occur intermittently. Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet 8010 series printer:
1. Check the Paper Type and Quality
- Paper Type: Ensure you are using paper that meets the printer’s specifications. HP OfficeJet printers typically handle a range of paper types, but it's best to use paper recommended for inkjet printers.
- Paper Size: Verify that the paper size in the tray matches the settings in your printer driver.
1.2. Paper Quality
- Paper Condition: Ensure the paper is not damaged, bent, or curled. Paper that is too thin or too thick can cause jams.
- Paper Handling: Store paper in a dry environment to avoid moisture absorption, which can cause sheets to stick together.
2. Check and Adjust the Paper Tray
- Adjust Paper Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the tray are aligned with the paper size and are not too tight or too loose. Guides that are set incorrectly can cause paper jams.
- Load Paper Correctly: Fan the paper stack before loading it into the tray to prevent sheets from sticking together. Do not overload the paper tray.
3. Inspect for Paper Jams
- Open Printer Access Panels: Open all access doors and panels to check for paper jams or obstructions.
- Remove Jammed Paper: Carefully remove any jammed paper. Make sure no small pieces of paper are left behind in the printer.
- Inspect Rollers: Check the paper feed rollers for wear and tear or debris. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water if needed.
- Inspect the Fuser: Ensure the fuser is properly seated and free from paper or debris.
4. Printer Settings and Firmware
- Check for Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Support website to download and install any available updates.
- Paper Settings: Ensure that the paper settings on your printer match the type and size of the paper you are using.
5. Troubleshoot with Different Paper
- Switch Paper: Try using a different type or brand of paper, such as the Staples paper you mentioned, to see if the problem persists. This helps determine if the issue is related to the paper type.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
