Product: Deskjet 2622

Our Deskjet 2622 is having this weird issue that isn't quite paper jam or not pulling the paper. It pulls the paper a little bit; the first big pull before normally it would then start slowly and steadily moving the paper through. It also doesn't realise that the paper has not been successfully pulled through, because it keeps trying to print the job and basically dribbles ink everywhere.

 

I've checked that there's nothing in the way of the rollers or around that area and tried cleaning the rollers but that didn't do anything. Printer is out of warranty so HP won't do anything for me. I've looked inside as much as I can see from the front as well and can't see anything from that side which could be blocking the paper.

 

Ideas??
