@Jonibur, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP printer is indicating a paper jam but you cannot find any paper, here are some steps to help you resolve the issue:
Check for Hidden Paper:
- Carefully inspect different parts of the printer including the output area, input trays, and paper path for any hidden or torn pieces of paper. Sometimes paper may get caught between moving parts.
Open Printer Covers:
- Open the front and back covers of the printer. Carefully look inside for any small pieces of paper, especially around the rollers.
Remove the Ink Cartridge:
- Gently remove the ink cartridges to access more areas where paper might be stuck. Check for any paper trapped near the ink cartridge carriage and replace the cartridges securely afterward.
Check the Rollers:
- Gently rotate the paper rollers with your fingers to see if any paper is caught and cannot be easily seen from above. Ensure that there is no paper debris obstructing the rollers, as this can cause jamming errors.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn the printer off and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This process can sometimes reset the printer's error state.
Inspect the Paper Tray:
- Carefully inspect the paper tray for any misaligned paper. Ensure that paper is loaded correctly and that the paper guides are snug but not too tight.
Manual Feeding:
- Attempt to manually feed a new sheet of paper through the printer to help push out any hidden debris or paper pieces that might be stuck within.
I hope this helps.
