Printer won't print. Keeps giving me message "out of paper," when ample paper in printer.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer won't feed paper to print. Keep getting message "out of paper," when ample paper supply in printer. Have tried all the HP Solutions posted with no success.  This is a 12 year old printer. Should I give up and just buy a new printer.  Have worked on this issue all day!

If you have already performed the steps from the document An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
