I have a Hp smart tank wireless series 450 (457). I am trying to print as I have full ink and paper loaded. When I try to print, I run into several issues. The I require assistance with is the printer will begin printing, than the paper with shortly in the beginning of the print job, showing that it can print but it than proceeds to jerking back and forth. The ink cartidge goes back and forth but it doesnt add to the paper, in addition to the paper doing a hesitation motion in the printer but doesnt continue to print. It overall gets stuck everytime and wont continue printing anything.
I hope this is detailed enough.
In addition to this, if I open the cartidge door and than close it during the print process, the printer cartidge will reset and continue printing a bit futher but will begin malfuntioning again. I sometimes am able to get a hole page to print doing this several times but the page wont be useful as it will have gaps in the printing on the page.

Hi @Methodology,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your Printer wont print full pages. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware

If the issue persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in this document:
I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
8). Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.
If the issue persists, I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
