HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

For some reason I can't print on card stock. When trying to print the. paper cycles through, but it is blank. I have changed the paper settings to "Thick paper"  but not sure what else I need to do.

Too heavy paper, that printer model doesn't support cardstock.

Thank you. I just spoke to someone and the limit on card stock for this printer is 110lb.

The 110 lb is for cards, not for cardstock those are two very different media. You got the wrong information from someone you spoke to. The cardstock is not supported, the maximum for plain paper is 28 lb.

If you want to check by yourself you can find information in the printer datasheet under media handing:

Tried it yesterday. The 110lb card stock worked!
