Unfortunately the ink cartridges damaged by printer head, known problem, and HP is replacing my printer. I need to return the damaged printer but can't figure out how to get the paper tray into the original position where it is flush the main printer body. I have tried moving the blue paper adjusters into the original position and using the grey paper adjuster to slide the tray in all the way but it won't go.  It will only go in so far as about 1.5  - 2" is still jutting out from the main printer body. Andy advice is appreciated.

@RNMOM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To know how to push the paper tray in, refer to this document. Even if you are not able to do it or if it is stuck, you can place the printer as it is in the printer box and send it to HP as it is getting replaced.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
